Previous Verse < Genesis 9 > Next Verse

And it shall come to pass, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the bow shall be seen in the cloud, (ASV)

Pro

Does this imply that there were no rainbows before Noah's Flood? That would require some rather strange physics, and it seems like some Just So Story more than anything else.

Con

How does this imply there weren't any rainbows before the Flood? That's like saying Jesus making bread and wine symbols of his new covenant implies there was no wine or bread before that. Zeta Metroid 13:20, 30 October 2011 (EDT)

Edit this section to note miscellaneous facts.

PRO asks the question, "Does this imply that there were no rainbows before Noah's Flood?" Asking questions does not prove anything.

PRO needs to expand his argument to provide something substantive to argue against the Biblical account and thereby support an argument for error. PRO alludes to the "strange physics" needed to support the Biblical account but does not describe these strange physics. Is this just posturing?

PRO says, "..it seems like some Just So Story more than anything else," which means nothing. It is only a personal opinion and nothing more.
